Where should I apply?

Hey guys! I’m a high school junior and I’m trying to decide where to apply for colleges. Here are my stats:

Asian Female living in the Bay Area (Sunnyvale, CA)
High family income, will probably not qualify for finanicial aid

GPA:
Unweighted: currently 3.88, will try to bring it up
Weighted: currently 4.2, will try to bring it up
UC: projected to be 4.2 as well? (this may be incorrect)

Standardized Tests:
SAT 1: 770 CR, 800 M, 730 W (9 on essay) Grand total of 2300
SAT 2: Math level 2 (800), Chinese (will know in 10 days), will be taking chemistry SAT later in the spring
AP tests: Chinese (5), Chemistry, Calculus BC, Lit, Statistics (I will be taking these AP tests over the next two years)

Courseload: We are not allowed to double up on subjects (i.e: only 1 science course, 1 history course, etc.)

Freshman Year: Chinese 4 Honors (A/A), Algebra 2/Trigonometry (A/A), Biology (A/A), Literature and Writing (A/A), PE (A/A), Art (A/A)
Sophomore Year: AP Chinese (A/A), Chemistry Honors (A/A), Precalculus Honors (A/A), World Literature and Writing (A/A), World History (A/A), Algebra 1 Tutor (A/A)
Junior Year: American Literature Honors (B), AP Calc BC (A), AP Chemistry (A), US History (A), Algebra 1 tutor (A), PE Dance (A)
Senior Year (possible courseload): Algebra 1 Tutor, AP Literature, AP Statistics, Physics Honors, Gov/Econ
I intend to take a few Calculus, Russian, and Computer science courses (maybe about 5 courses total) before I graduate from college
**I am a third generation Chinese-American. Both of my parents do not know how to speak Chinese. The only reason why I was in Chinese 4 my freshman year was because I went to a Chinese immersion program and I had a tutor.

Extracurriculars:
1.) Competitive lv 9 (International caliber) Rhythmic Gymnast: Qualified for regional team (top 4 gymasts in 5 states for my level) freshman and sophomore year, competed in international competitions, ranked 9th in the largest international competition held in the US in my level and age group, ranked 5th AA at nationals for my level and age group. I train at least 20 hours a week, and do at least 7 hours of conditioning a week (not included in the 20 hours)
2.) Coach for rhythmic gymnastics; CPR Certified, will be USA Gymnastics official
3.) Ballet: used as an enrichment for gymnastics
3.) Tutoring: I tutor Algebra 1 (for course credit), Chinese (for volunteer hours), and Chemistry (for money :D)
4.) EL Ambassador and Orientation Program leader: I help students who recently immigrated to the US assimilate into American culture and society. I also help 9th graders as they transition into high school life
5.) Red Cross: member for 4 years, CPR certified, current VP of the club, am hoping to be President next year
6.) Member of National Chinese Honor Society
7.) (This is more of a hobby) I make cards for a lot of events, like birthday cards, thank you cards, congratulations cards, etc.

Awards/Distinction:
Regional team award: 1st place AA
(insert numerous gymnastics awards here)
Green and White awards for Lit, PE, Math, and Chinese. These awards are given by the teachers to students who they think excelled in the subject

I wish to major in Mathematics and have a strong computer science background (possibly minoring in CS), mainly because my favorite classes have always been in the STEM field.

So far, the schools I have looked at are: Harvey Mudd (probably my 1st choice), Pomona, UC Davis, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, Caltech, MIT, Stanford (I live close to it, so I might as well apply), Brown, and Carnegie Mellon.

Are there any other schools I should consider? What schools should I look at for my safety schools?

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Consider Cornell. Probably look first at their College of Arts and Sciences.

You have a very wide range of school sizes and types. For example Harvey Mudd vs UCLA. Do you not care about school size at all? A good safety small school in the same vein as Harvey Mudd might be Rose-Hulman. A safety school more of the UCLA type might be Purdue which is nice because they have rolling admissions so you hear early on AND they provide a nice amount of merit aid for out of state students. Have you considered U Chicago or Columbia? My son who is a senior eliminated Berkeley because of the impacted status for CS major he worried if he majored in math or physics and wanted to double in CS he wouldn’t be able to do so. His top 3 are MIT, Stanford, and Mudd. Safety was Purdue and he is already admitted. My daughter is a junior and will probably go ED for Mudd and her other schools would be MIT, U Chicago , Columbia (large female STEM population!), a couple of matches, and Purdue and/or Rose-Hulman for safeties. Purdue is big for her but they have a really nice music program and no music majors.

@merc81 Thanks! I haven’t thought to check Cornell.

@dcplanner I don’t care as much about school size, as long as I get a good STEM background. I will look into UChicago, Purdue, and Columbia. Thank you!

In State:
-Stanford
-Pomona
-UCLA
-USC
-UC Santa Barbara
-UC Berkeley

Out Of State:
-MIT
-Harvey Mudd

Carnegie Mellon–would be at the top of my list!

also you should really take a good look at lafayette college
https://www.lafayette.edu/
maybe as a match they only accept about 33% of applicants. but it is a great all around school.
