So...what schools do you think I should look at???

Thanks so much :)

er like Harvard, lol

a mid-size community college. Do not get your hopes to high.. your stats are not very good., maybe if you had a gpa above 4 or had a higher class rank you could get into some major universities.. but yeah.

jk- you can get in almost anywhere.. pick your favorite

thats sweet of you...

what SAT range should I be looking at? My ACT score is decent, but not stellar.

33 not stellar??!! That equates to nearly a 1500! Not to mention ACT scores tend to be lower than SAT scores. For instance, Brown's ACT avg is like a 29.

sorry...im sure you know what its like to have overachieving friends

my best friend has a 35, my other best friend has a 34....so therefore a 33 seems low, lol. But i didnt realize that it equated to nearly a 1500.

yeah like a 1480! Man, you have smart friends too.

I am kind of looking at Yale, Northwestern, and Stanford. Do you have any other (less lofty) suggestions? Im also interested in schools where I could get scholarships...

What were u thinking?!?!!?!?!?!? A rank of 1 and u think u can go to HARVARD!?!?!?!??!!? AHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHA Your grades are so sad that I feel sorry for ur mother. dont even think a community college can work with that.

My suggestions: Houston Community College, Bob Jones University, Trenton Community College, and Rhode Island Community College. Those schools are wonderful and have a very high standard of living.

give us some specifics about what you want in a college (btw I can take that 33 ACT right off your hands if you consider it too low jk!)

well...

I'd like a school thats relatively small in size (between 1000 and 7000 undergrad probably) with decent programs in classics and biology. Small class sizes would be nice. Also, a college with good placement in to med school programs. Im open to all areas of the country.

I want a school that has drama, choral programs that i can participate in without having to major in them. I'm a pretty liberal thinker...diversity would be nice too.

Also, a school that offers financial aid. And possibly a study abroad program where I can go to Italy.

Thanks for all your posts so far...i love you all even if you make fun of me :)

(and i'd love to share my score if i could)

random question singingal78...u said u were national commened scholar blah blah with a 201..........do u know what the cutoffs are for the different levels? this yr i got 218..next yr i'm shooting for...230? is that enough for finalists?

anyway, way off topic. about your college choices, eh, go ivy league so when u apply for a job they're like...wow. haha im not really an expert on schools. so i dont think that helped. bye!

your stats are good overall but nothing that really makes you stand out... i'd say apply to johns hopkins, cornell, u of chicago, ann arbor, etc... northwestern's good too.

nilvedxd...it depends what state youre in. for some states, 218 is enough, others its not. But I think thats a great score. Good luck getting a 230...yeah, thats certainly enough :)

I took the PSAT sophomore year and got a 196, without studying. I studied and got a 201 junior year. Studying...obviously didnt help, lol.

But best of luck to you.

sweet..thanks. hey, at least u improved 5 points! that's like 4 more questions right..haha. anyway i think the psat's suck.. i missed 3 on the math part (grrr all careless errors) and got a 70 which is insanely low...while i missed 4 on the writing and got a 77. so basically its stupid. oh well. i'm sure no one really cares =D

consider Rice
