Preferences: Very Interested in UVA's school of commerce (just visited this week) and staying on the east coast. Prefer a rural/suburban campus to urban campus but not that much. I need a school that has some kind of prestige because thats what my parents mostly care about. I need Reaches Matches and Safeties. Thanks guys :-)

bump!!!!!!

Can anyone help me!!!

As an African-American male, you'll get a great advantage in the college admissions process.

Not that you necessarily need it - if you raise your SAT score and work on keeping your grades up, colleges will be lining up to admit you.

I don't know what specific institutions you should look at, but I think UVA would probably be a good match for you, especially in-state.

Yea UVA is my number one choice but I'm from northern Virginia where the competition is fierce so I'm a little worried.

if you can get your sat up to 2000, you have a more than solid chance at UVA. study, study, study!! and as urm, your chances raise a significant amount. just raise those sats, even by 100, and you have a great chance!

best of luck

If you can get a 2000+ SAT, I think you'll be in at UVA.

thanks, any other opinions?
