Where should I go in the fall?

I’m currently a sophomore at Illinois State University looking for transfer to a different school in the fall. I came here after high school because I was too daunted by the considerable adjustment a large school would be. I chose business as my major because I knew nothing else at the time and wanted to play it safe. While it’s a fine school and it has provided me with a foundation for my education, I have simply outgrown it. Upon returning this year, I decided I would transfer. I visited a variety of of other schools and applied where I liked. I’m looking to find a more enriching environment where I can grow academically and find my calling. I was accepted to University of Iowa and University of Illinois as Urbana-Campaign. At Iowa, I would undoubtedly be able to join their business program as my grades fulfill their expectations. At Illinois, I would not likely be able to join their business program as it is highly competitive. That being said, I only marked business as my major because it was the only thing I knew from back home…I’m not yet sure what I want to do and finding my calling is an important reason for my transfer. Of course, Illinois is a higher-ranked school and I could hold a fine degree from there but from Iowa I could hold a degree in business. I’m an Illinois resident so going to Iowa would be more expensive. I love Illinois and most of my family has gone there, but I dig Iowa too. At Iowa, I could continue as a business major. I would likely major in some sort of LAS or engineering at Illinois and I would minor in business. Ultimately my decision rests upon what I will major in. My gut says Illinois would be really enriching but the back of my mind says I would have the security of a business degree at Iowa so it’s a pretty tough decision. I already started signing things for Illinois, but I don’t want to get myself into anything I’d regret. Any thoughts are appreciated as I’m really lacking direction here and hope to make the right choice…
