Need a decision..please help me

I am torn between a few schools because I have my heart set on getting into the business school (and major in Finance) but I have not been directly admitted to all of them. These are my options:

University of Iowa (Gen-Ed)
Loyola university Chicago (Business)
Marquette (Business)
DePaul (Business but must get good grades to declare major in Finance)

The university of iowa was #1 on my list but the business school denied me for having 1 point too low on my ACT. I would have to get a certain overall gpa and prerequisite gpa to transfer into their bschool. I don’t know if it’s worth the risk…I love the school but I don’t know if it would be better to go to one of the schools listed above that gives me direct admission. I don’t know what Loyolas reputation is for business but it seems like marquette is more of a business school. If I don’t get in a bschool, I’m screwed and would have to change my major. Someone please help, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would say Marquette or DePaul. If you are positive you need to go to business school, Iowa might not be worth the risk.

DePaul. Best for internships in Chicago.

@lalalemma‌ @kansaskid1 the dilemma is that Iowa has offered my 20k in scholarships and I love the school and campus. I didn’t like Depauls campus at all and it would just as hard to go there and try to declare a major in finance. I have not visited Marquette (offers direct admission) but it is a little more pricey. I also prefer the bigger, public school school feel. Do you know how hard it would be to transfer into iowas bschool or do you know anyone who has done so? I heard that it’s not too hard

Well that makes things different. If you really love Iowa and the scholarship makes a big difference for you, then I would go there. Just make sure you have a plan in case you don’t end up getting accepted to the business school.

Iowa is one where it’s not too hard to transfer into the business school, but you do need to stay focused right away in order to maintain the grades - doable if you’re hardworking even if not brilliant, but not for slackers.
