Where should I go?

I really need help on deciding where to attend! I am majoring in Mathematics (possibly double major-Computer Science). So please help!!!
List of where I got admitted:
Cal States: SLO, Pomona, SDSU, and Long Beach
UC: Santa Barbara, San Diego (Muir), and UCLA
Waiting on Berkeley.

Thank you!

Which campus did you like the best and felt was the best fit? You will be there for 4 years, you need to be happy. All great schools. Is money a factor?

@Gumbymom‌, my first choice was Berkeley, but I started looking at the campus and I was very discouraged because it wasn’t the best fit for me. (I thought the campus was depressing due to its very old architecture style). Therefore, I want a campus that is somewhat modern and appeasing to the mind (ex. UCSD and UCSB). However, yesterday I got into UCLA which was astonishing and now I can’t decide if that should be my choice of school. On the money part, I am not “financialy” adequate (single parent household- around $17k a year), but I am hoping I become a recepient for the Gates Millenniun Scholarship (I advanced to the finalist stage). What are your thoughts?

I’d go to UCLA.

@JoanneB‌ do you think I should base it of prestige? Like if I get into Berkely might as well go there regardless of the campus.

Do NOT pick your school based solely on prestige. Since you’ve been admitted to multiple UCs, which should all cost roughly the same for an in-state applicant, choose which one you like the best. They’re all excellent schools. If you like UCLA the best, go there. Even though Santa Barbara is ranked lower than SD and LA, if you like that one the best, go there. No matter where you end up, know that you can’t lose! Best wishes.

UCLA has a very famous math prof named Terence Tao. It’s also much more prestigious than the other UCs on your list.

Except Berkeley of course, which you don’t like.

@minohi‌ Thank you! As of right now, LA is tied with UCSD for my top choice, but i’ll think about it more. @JoanneB‌ definitely have to take one of his classes (if I atted LA)! Thank you for your assistance

UCLA has the name, but it does it have the right fit in academics and social scene for you. I favor UCSD over UCLA but I love the SD area more than LA, but if you wanted a spiritied campus with big name sports, UCLA would win hands down. You have some great choices… Good Luck.

Thank you so much!!! @Gumbymom‌
