Where should i go ?

Electrical engineering at Texas A&M is a very good program but it is probably 37,000 for a non-resident. There are quite a few foreign students in the engineering school. But, ASU is a beautiful campus. I would go to the school that gives you the most money. EE is hard wherever you go.

You were accepted into First Year Engineering at Purdue and indicated you wanted to study EE. They didn’t accept you into EE. You won’t be placed into your major until after your freshman year. You will choose your top major selections at the beginning of the second semester of your freshman year and they will assign you a major based on your choices, whether you passed your FYE courses and the GPA in all of your required courses. A 3.2 will usually guarantee you your first choice. That can depend of the popularity of a specific major that year.

how hard is it I mean I am an Asian and in our country our educational system is tough so I probably use to study about 7-8 ours on week days and 12-15 hours on weekends, so would I have to give 15+ hours daily ?
moreover I have done calculus in our high school so would that make a difference ? @woodlandsmom

@lvvcsf can you answer the 19th post questions please ?

In my opinion the quality of the programs are probably similar what is different is the regional, national, international reach and reputation of each university. Of the schools you mention I would regard Purdue as the school that would have the better name recognition nationally and internationally followed by TAMU, Arizona State and finally Iowa State. Purdue will have the largest percentage of international students. I also think that after your first job employers will forget where you got your degrees from.

You can google “top engineering universities.” You’ll probably find that lists vary, according to who publishes them. AAU is a non-profit think-tank, I believe. It focuses on public policies that affect large research universities. I don’t think it’s a big deal that ASU isn’t a member. Others who know more than I may chime in on this.
