@collegecurious49 Dang. I was just about to strongly second Richmond, as it met everything else to a T, but I do know that its Greek Life is limited to a couple of lodges despite relatively good turnouts.
I’ll list a few with some cons for each on what you seem to care about:
UNC Chapel Hill: Great environment, prestigious (28% Acceptance with avg 28 - 32 ACT / 1220 - 1440 SAT), huge student count, great professors, great classes, and lively frat scene. Some negative things I hear include a good number of stereotypical jocks among the students, meh parking, and a lack of diversity.
Richmond (I’ll be entering this fall): Beautiful campus 15 minutes from center of Richmond but completely separate, small, tight-nit community, great business program w/ good law program (among other things), prestigious ( 31% Acceptance with avg 31 - 33 ACT / 1380 - 1500 SAT). Main issue is that there are no on-campus Greek homes despite the scene known to be pretty good. Some people may also dislike the small student count, even though that was one of its selling points for me.
Union I haven’t heard much about. Pretty good location, good academics, and good faculty, though from the looks of it. I heard their food isn’t great.
Bucknell might honestly be pretty good for you also, if you don’t care about being relatively far from a big city. (31% Acceptance with avg ACT of 28 - 32 and SAT of 1210-1400
Although I have not personally looked at it, I did find out in post that University of Richmond is supposed to be like Wake Forest, so keep it in mind. (29% Acceptance with avg ACT 28 - 31 / SAT 1240 - 1400
)
Reed College, College of the Holy Cross, Connecticut College, and Skidmore do not seem to have frats established.
I just wanted to give my cents on prezbucky’s list from my past research.
