So I’m planning to study biology/bioengineering and I’m pretty sure I want to go to med school after college.

Berkeley: Biochemistry
Regent scholar, Cal resident so it’s affordable.

Hopkins: BME

1 BME, got no financial aid, kinda expensive

Cornell: Biology
Got generous aid so it’s actually a little cheaper for me to go to Cornell than Berkeley

Northwestern: BME
A little bit of aid, don’t really know about this school lol

UCLA: BME
Not really likely since I’ll probably go to Berkeley over this.

Looks like it’ll be Berkeley or Cornell. Have you visited Cornell? If you’re from Cali, you might hate the winters at Cornell. In addition, the distance will cost you in time and airfare during the college breaks.

Visit both schools and pick the school where you think you would fit in the best.

I vote for Berkely. Considering the cost you have to travel to in middle of nowhere new york, i dont think it worth (?) it if you got into berkely.

Thanks for the input guys.
Yea my top three are Berkeley, Cornell, and Hopkins.

The reason I kinda like Hopkins is because their graduates get really good medical school acceptance, if cost wasn’t an issue it would probably be my top choice.

For me the environment isn’t really an issue as long as I’m not getting mugged or getting depressed from rain.

Anyone got any advice on why Cornell over Berkeley?

Hmm…I heard that the biology program at Cornell isn’t as good as Berkeley’s since Cornell’s focus is on agriculture and other stuff. I don’t really see a reason for Cornell as of right now…

And also after looking at the cost of attendance Cornell is only cheaper by about 3k and considering the traveling costs it won’t be much of a difference.
