hi. i just finished my junior year of high school, and for this summer my big task is figuring out what colleges to apply to. ive done the traditional flipping through the college books and scouting colleges online, but id like an outside opinion of where ive got a shot of getting into. here are my stats:

*4.01 GPA (weighted i think - something like 3.95 unweighted)
*28 ACT (first time, retaking in september)
*1950 SAT (with writing), 1270 (without writing), (first time, retaking in october)
-600 critical reading (really low, i know)
-670 math
-680 writing
*APs: have taken AP bio (junior year), am taking AP calc and AP psych (senior year)
-my high school typically doesnt allow you to take AP classes until junior year due to the other requirements our school has, and most people only take 1 or 2 junior year
-the only advanced/honors courses we have are honors english and accelerated precalc - but even the smartest people dont take them anyway - they dont factor into our gpas
*probably got a 5 on the AP bio exam - really confident

other activities:
*member of National Honor Society
*key club - 2 years
*best buddies club (for kids with disabilities, just formed this year)
*varsity gymnastics
-team state titles in 2009 and 2011, runnerup in 2010
-state individual qualifier
-academic all-state
*soccer - 2 years (freshman & jv)
-also club select soccer in the fall
*worked as a gymnastics instructor (all four years)
*worked at jimmy johns
*volunteered at schlitz audubon nature center (camps, admissions booth)
*volunteered in the Birds of Prey raptor program
*participate in younglife and lifeteen masses & groups

i am looking to go into medicine. obviously premedicine isnt really a degree, but im looking for a college that definitely has a strong biology program. im looking into both private and public schools, out of my home state (wisconsin) and probably near big cities - like new york, boston, and other medium to large cities. i would really like to attend a competitive top university.

so any ideas on colleges? id really appreciate your opinion!
