Please help me choose colleges! I need lost of aid. I can afford about $6000 per annum....

Thanks!

Your grades have very little deciding factor in where you should go. Its really what you can afford, and what you're interested in studying...

I can't tell you this, only you can bro!

What are you interested in studying? How big a college do you want? Is there a part of the country you're most interested in?

Have you taken the SATs?

Havent taken SATs....expecting 2100 in SAT 1 and 2250ish in SAT 2! interested in engineering...am an int'l student...!

2250 in SAT 2? you mean your second SAT1 test?

SAT II's are subject tests with a max score of 800. Or are you combining 3 of your SATII's for us to get 2250? lol, idk, definitely look into colleges with good financial aid.

2250 in combined SAT physics, chemistry and maths!
I'm sorry for the confusion....thats how they refer to the SAT Subject tests in my part of the world!

Yeah, the need for aid is a downer. A lot of colleges want internationals to pay their own way. I don't know schools off the top of my head that are need-blind to or aid internationals.

And...if that C in chemistry a major downer as well?

If you are female, Smith College’s Picker Engineering Program is superb and has a wonderful approach to teaching engineering. In addition, you get an excellent liberal arts education. Smith is known for academic excellence, terrific advising and mentoring and available, committed professors.

Smith is also part of the 5-college consortium (with Amherst, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke and Univ Mass). You can take classes at any.

You can find more information on their engineering program at: Smith College: Picker Engineering Program and at: Smith College: Picker Engineering Program

Be aware that $6000 per annum is very limiting in the US. It is less than living expenses in much of the country. In state tuition at public schools is often less than $6000, but it is rare that out of state tuition is less than that, and as an international student that is the minimum you will have to pay. You will also have to budget for travel, incidentals, and health care.

Male :)

I just found out amherst is need blind for internationals!
I know its SELECTIVE, but ill apply anyways!

Thanks y'all!

Amherst doesn't offer an engineering major. You can do math or physics and get an engineering grad degree.
