First time poster, I'm a recent convert from applying to medical school to applying to PhD programs instead (long story haha). I won't be applying until next summer (I'm a junior right now), but I can't figure out if I'm competitive at certain schools. I'm looking for programs centered around Microbiology/Immunology/Pathology. Some of the programs I'm really interested in are at University of Washington (Seattle), OHSU, Harvard, Baylor, Stanford, Yale, Emory, etc. However, in the med school game I didn't stand a chance in hell at some of these schools, and now I'm not sure if it's unrealistic to apply to their graduate programs?

Fast summary:
Molecular & Microbiology Major
Philosophy Minor
3.61 GPA
No GRE yet.
All my research experience has been in the same lab, where I have been for 7 months and will remain there most likely until graduation.
Might be getting an NIH internship for this summer, though won't know until March.

I can't figure out where I stand a chance, any advice for someone new to the Graduate school admissions process? Thanks in advance!
