What are some good places to resell textbooks other than local college bookstores which rip you off? Do you use half.com or amazon.com, and how do you go about the process of selling your books online? How long do you usually have to wait until your book is sold?

You could try EBay or some book barns around your town. Don't expect much money from the latter, though.

(What's up with this new criteria requiring all posts to have 10 characters minimum?)

if the book is in high demand, ebay is definitely your best bet.

I generally look at prices for the book on Half and Amazon Marketplace, and then see what the bookstores will pay for them. Sometimes the stores do pay more, but you have to be willing to try multiple stores and not be afraid to take your book and walk out if they keep giving you low prices.

Jehjar...it's always been like that

Has anyone been through the online transaction business and wouldn't mind outlining the steps?
