Where will we get our admissions decisions? Do they only come in the mail? or can we get them online? and what date do they come out?

they come in the mail. nothing is shown online

BC states that all decisions will have been mailed out by April 15th; however, BC typically sends out the first decisions around mid march and sends decisions out in waves, meaning you may receive your decision before your neighbor does etc. etc.

why so late???

Most schools guarantee that decisions will be unveiled by April 15th. Like I said, BC typically sends out decisions in mid-to-late March. I received my package in late March, which was the first package/letter I received when I applied to colleges

my rep told me they are trying to have all letters out by end of march so that everyone can hear by april 1st.

As in rep, do you mean the person who reviews the applications in your region?

The admissions counselor for my area (MA) told me today that they hope to have all decisions postmarked by March 25th at the latest. SWEET!

cool, 5 days less of waiting

Last year's first regular decision post was on March 26. It came by mail.

I hate waiting and at the same time I want to wait. I don't know if I would rather live and know or not know.

I think they're still reviewing applications.

I got an email because I screwed up a part of my application. I hope this means I'm not rejected- yet.

According to their website, they will send NO DECISION out prior to April 15, but I don't know how it's happened in the past

It does not make sense from a logistic point of view simply because colleges want a verdict from the students by May 1st. If BC does in fact send their decisions on April 15th, there probably will not be enough time for students to receive the decision and make a decision based on the outcome. To be honest, it would be stupid and careless on BC's part to have it set up that way. Heck, BC's admitted eagle day is around mid april, so it makes absolutely no sense to mail out decisions on the 15th.

Masterhammy, the exact quote from the website is: "Decisions will not be communicated to applicants via telephone, facsimile, e-mail, or in person prior to April 15."

Decisions will, however, be given out by snail mail. (BC just doesn't want anyone bugging them beforehand.) The letters usually go out around the end of March.

masterhammy: last year they sent it out around the 26th-28th. April 15th would make NO sense at all, it's just a way to cover their asses.

master_hammy - worriedmom posted the same text from the BC site that I was going to post.
[quote]
Candidates will be notified of action taken on their applications no later than April 15. Decisions will not be communicated to applicants via telephone, facsimile, e-mail, or in person prior to April 15.

More specifically what that text is telling you is that, BEFORE April 15, YOU cannot call them, fax them, e-mail them or show up at admissions and get your admissions decision. AFTER April 15, if indeed your decision has not arrive by mail at your home, you can contact them directly to obtain your decision.

Last year's first BC RD acceptance post on CC was March 26.
