I’m not quite sure what the actual criteria/cut-off is, but Case might offer between 25,000-30,000. Another school which might be a good option would be Wooster and I would guess between $20,000-$25,000 in merit scholarships.

Those schools would still leave you with between $25,000-$35,000/yr out of pocket.

Other schools like UAH, if you could bring up your math and CR to 1490 would be full tuition and room.

Thanks for the responses everyone!!! I just retook the SAT and hopefully bumped up my math a bit. Right now I’m thinking about applying to Maryland, Delaware, Penn State, UVA and maybe Vermont. I know I don’t have a really great shot at substantial merit at any of these schools (obviously none at UVA) but really appreciate everyone’s help. Thanks!

@eharr34 did you already say what you want to study, and whether your parents are able to contribute to your costs (and if so, how much)? Assuming you’re out of state, UVM (Vermont) would give you $12K against an OOS COA over $50K. I’m confused why you are now looking at schools where you know you don’t have a shot at decent merit dollars.

Try your best to get to the NMF! There are so many scholarships based on that :)

The average SAT for the USC Presidential (half-tuition) was a 2250. For the Trustee (full-tuition) weekends, the average SAT was a 2320 and the average ACT was a 35.

That being said, I somehow managed to get Stamps (full-tuition + stipend) with a 2220 and 35 xD

Good luck!

Great advice here…my personal suggestions for scholarship reaches would be U Md. and U Pitt.

Also, if you bring your CR+M score up ten points you would be in the running for a SUNY Buffalo Presidential Scholarship.

Don’t forget a financial safety! Check out SUNY Alfred’s Distinguished Scholars Program.

Good luck to you!!!
