Hello all,

Ok I'll make this short and sweet.

I have to decide between CU Boulder or University of Denver. I'm planning on staying there for at least freshman year, maybe sophomore year, but I'd like to transfer to UPenn - Wharton to finish my undergraduate studies at, then get some real life business experience, and then apply to a MBA program at an Ivy League school. Both schools seem nice and have good undergrad programs. I was accepted to both and have paid deposits to both to buy myself some time...but time is getting short now and I still can't decide. Both schools will cost me about the same, seeing that I'm instate for CU Boulder and since DU is private, I got a good amount of scholarship money. I own my own small business and work part time, therefore Boulder is closer (roughly 20-30 mins) to my hometown and primary business accounts, but Denver is only 45-60 mins. Can't decide and could really use some advice. With school, if any, would look better to Wharton for transfer? Thanks in advance.

if you are 100% sure you want to transfer, you may want to go somewhere w/o a business program so you have a reason to transfer...other than prestige...

You also need to consider where you'd rather spend 4 years if you DON'T get into Wharton...you shouldn't just assume you will get in because if you didn't already, you probably won't later (but who knows).

CU has a pretty good business program and your current business is closer to there, so I would go there.

Thanks for the input from everyone so far. Anyone else have anything to add? I havn't even yet applied to go to Wharton so its hard to say if I would be admitted or not. I think owning my own businesses helps my chances, correct? I think it would be a great school. Any advice on how to get it?

i agree with kcrisch's comment, "You also need to consider where you'd rather spend 4 years if you DON'T get into Wharton.."

just go wherever you think you'd be content graduating from.

University of Denver is a good school for studying business, and I would really consider the size of the school and what type of setting best fits your learning style and needs... if you like to mostly do it all on your own, with little personal interraction from faculty and being considered just a number within the croud, but many more students to interract with--go to CU-Boulder (20K+ students)... if you want more attention from your professors and less amount of students (4500 +-)-- go to Denver.

As for transferring to Wharton... well that's a crap shoot regardless of most anything else...who knows what school would help you there, i'm sure either would give you the same chance--just get awesome grades and do extra curriculars, etc.

Thanks for all the advice so far everyone. Anyone else got any input? I need to decide asap!!! thanks again
