where would you go. USC or NYU

I already got accepted to USC-Marshall, and I am still waiting for the decision from NYU-Stern.

I just wonder if I get accepted to both schools, where should I go? I applied as a marketing major.

any advise would be helpful. Thank you

Plain and simple NYU Stern. USC Marshall really has nothing compared to NYU Stern even in business networking.

What is your career goal post-graduation? I’d go with USC if you planned to stay and work in California, NYU for east coast or wallstreet.

I don’t kno yet, but I think I might go back to my home country. (South Korea)

Thanks for the advise.

USC

nothing beats the alumni family there
plus: LA > NYC

Jocelyne626 - are you kidding me? I’m not a hater of USC Marshall School of Business, my brothers go there and they also say hands down NYU Stern School of Business. NYU rules both undergraduate and graduate programs for business over USC and they have a much more prestigous network and alumni for BUSINESS. NYU is located right in New York and is extremely close to Wall Street. NYU professors are incredible celeberties of the business world, write articles to big publishing companies, work for the UN, and etc.

Some of my friends attend NYU Stern and they’ve had free study abroad programs all over the world. Internships that feed into Wall Street which one of my friends has an internship at Goldman Sachs. If you want to make money, enjoy business, work on Wall Street, want to become an investment banker, and soak up city life then go to NYU. If you want to be in California then go to USC.

Also all of the Ivy Leagues and some other universities (ex. Northwestern) beat USC’s alumni family.

speez011 - always happy to help

I go to USC and personally I would say Stern UNLESS you wish to work in CA. Although I do know that USC does have a pretty strong Asian presence, not so sure about NYU, you’d need to find out about that. But we do have a strong alumni network, but it’s most useful in CA.

same topic in the business forum.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/business-major/716591-usc-nyu.html

Definitely USC Marshalll ^_^

NYU Stern has a really strong international background when it comes to recruiting. NYU has the most study abroad programs, colleges built for NYU around the world, and connections with the most international universities. If you want a study abroad oppurtunity in Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, HK, Bejing, etc. you will also be able to get an internship through certain particular programs for NYU Stern.

There is definantly a reason why NYU Stern is consistently ranked at or below the top 8 Business Undergraduate Programs for past years. While USC Marshall is ranked at top 10 and above.

The real question is Trojans vs Bobcats!

Just kidding…I would probably go for USC if it were me. The location & environment of both USC and NYU are vastly different, but it really depends what you’re looking for.

Good luck~

ahh this is hard, Id say NYU though.
