Where Would You Like to Live After College?

I bleed Philly pride! I was born near the best city in the world by far! We have the best food, sports (GO PHILLIES!), art scene, culture, and skyline! We also have some of the best suburbs! Nevertheless, I can picture myself leaving Philadelphia in favor of new surroundings. Currently, I can see myself living in:

Philadelphia, PA (suburbs or Center City.)
South Jersey
Suburban Delaware (outside of Philly)
New York City, NY (Long Island suburbs)
Atlanta, GA (suburbs)
Boston, MA (suburbs)
Suburban Maryland (outside of DC)
Suburban Virginia (again, outside of DC)
Charlotte, NC (suburbs)
Los Angeles, CA (suburbs)
San Francisco, CA (suburbs)

Wherever I end up living, I would like a huge Colonial style house outside of a major, preferably Northeastern, city with an excellent school district. Where would you like to live?

Mine aren’t as specific as yours but…

Middle East
Cali
NY
Middle East
NJ
NC
Middle East
Qatar
Dubai
Abu Dhabi
Middle East

I would love to live in Dubai! It’s like a mini U.S. in the middle of the desert! The only thing I would worry about is adjusting to the culture.

Dubai is verryyyyyyyyyyyy diverse.

And their prince is just… wow

Northern VA, and I’d like to work in DC.

Abroad, basically.

Definitely somewhere abroad for some time. I could see myself eventually settling down in Austin.

I want to live in downtown Chicago. I live in the suburbs now but I love the city so much. Maybe I’d go to Northeastern/Boston for grad school.

Northern New Jersey

Southwest CT

Suburbs of Boston

Long Island

Northern DE/Philly suburbs (I mean, I live there now, so…)

Rhode Island

Chicago (unlikely but wouldn’t rule it out)

Can’t really see myself living anywhere outside of the Northeast. DC is probably the furthest south and west I’d go with the possible exception of Chicago. I see myself most likely living in the suburbs of NY or Boston and working in those respective cities.

Directly after college I want to teach English abroad in South Korea or somewhere in Europe (preferably francophone) for a while, and then come back to the US as an ESL or French teacher. I’d like to end up working in a public school on LI but living in NYC or Westchester (I made a vow to never live on Long Island again after high school, but I’d be ok working on it), even though I also want to live in the Pacific Northwest and Maryland at some point in my life.

Directly after college I’d like to live in Chicago I guess. I live just outside the suburbs now. Seattle would be my second choice, and New York City would be up there too. Pittsburgh is a distant fourth. I’d probably be happy anywhere other than Phoenix or Vegas though.

Once I settle down and have a family and all that I’d like to live in the suburbs of one of those cities.

Young, single professional right out of college- C’mon -The Big Apple.

I live in Southwestern Virginia right now. I have always wanted to live in the suburbs near a large city. Preferably in a state as beautiful as VA and NC (which I am less that 30 minutes from). So I have been thinking of Georgia.

Don’t really care where I live. I’ll live where the job takes me, I want to be a journalist so I can’t be picky, can I? If I had my choice of where to work out of, which I wont but if I did, I would chose Berlin because Europe interests me.

Virginia or Georgia
Close to wherever I end up for school.

Speaking of Europe, both Paris and Frankfurt have caught my attention. I wouldn’t mind practicing medicine in either of those two beautiful cities!

San Francisco or New York!

I’m thinking of heading east, either to Boston or NYC

Otherwise I’ll stick to my hometown, Chicago

NYC, Chicago, or Washington DC (<–if I want to work in government). Oh, and maybe Colorado or Seattle. After living overseas for my entire childhood, it should be nice to try the US.

I wouldn’t mind staying here in the palm Springs area, but I hate the heat.

Otherwise I’ll probably go to either wherever I go to college or to San Francisco or Sam Diego.
