I know this question has been posted several times, but I’m currently debating between “Cracking the AP Calculus AB and BC exams 2014” by Princeton Review and “Preparing for the AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC exam” by Sharon Cade, Jeff Lucia and Rhea Caldwell. I will be self studying, since my school only offers A levels (I have A level Maths too), and will be giving the exam in 2016. Any other suggestions would be fine, but I’d like opinions on the two books above.
Anybody?
Bump.
My oldest son took this class back in the 2009-2010 school year. His teacher recommended a book called “Multiple-Choice & Free Response Questions in Preparation for the AP Calculus (BC) Examination” published by D& S Marketing. There were over 50 kids in the class (it was online) and ALL of the students scored a 5! That being said, things may have changed since then. Another son is currently taking the same course with the same teacher. This year she has them using “Be Prepared for the AP Calculus Exam” second edition by Mark Howell and Martha Montgomery. I’m trusting there is a reason that she changed prep books and that her reasoning is solid since she had such a high pass/score rate.
Wow, thanks a lot for your response.
