Which AP classes to take? Transfer from IB to AP?

I'm moving from an IB school to an AP school 2nd semester (11th grade) and these are the AP courses listed at my new school.

AP English Language · AP English Literature · AP Spanish · AP Statistics ·
AP Chemistry · AP Biology · AP Psychology · AP US History · AP US Government ·
AP European History · AP Calculus · AP Physics

I'm more of the historical guy, I love modern world politics and issues. That's basically my forte. My best subject atm is Geography HL but unfortunately my new school will not have human geography.

These are my IB courses -
IB Chem HL (I suck at chem (averaging a B with a tutor haha) but I might need this if I choose to go into the medical path)
IB Geo HL (Love it)
IB Computer Science HL (Need this)
IB Lang and Lit SL (I'm alright)
IB Math SL Year 1
US History

I'm thinking of taking
AP US Hist
AP Psychology (Think I can self study 1 semester?)
AP Chem or Honors Chem - can't really decide.
AP Lang
AP Statistics or AP bio (Which is easier to catch up on? I have the text books)

For senior year I might just take ap calc.

Most of these classes are those that I really like (minus the sciences). I'm the social studies type of person but some of the jobs that I'd like in the future do not really relate.

Is it better to take courses that I'm good at as opposed to something for the future? Considering I'll probably take the same thing in college anyway and this is a time where my mind will probably open up?

Thanks!

I think you should focus on doing what’s good for the future as opposed to a course that you’re “good at”, as long as the two are not two polar extremes. It might really help you out later in college, even if only by familiarizing you with the material. If you have a low GPA which you’d like to raise or just enjoy the other classes maybe you should take those classes as well. Personally, I would take classes that I think would help me, but they probably all will if/when you get the college credit anyways.

Contrary to the above, I think you should take what you enjoy! IMO high school classes should be equally challenging as they are “fun.” For example, I am pondering over a medical track in college but the activities I participate in are all language-speaking based

Though of course, I take a full IB/AP course load so I have hard courses in all my courses.

Courses: I think you should take AP USH, AP Chem (since ur already taking IB Chem), AP Stat (AP Bio would be pretty easy to catch up since ur taking IB chem and bio is an extension of chem; but stats is really easy), AP Lang

idk about AP Psych, it’s a lot of vocab, esp. if you don’t like science APs
