Which campus is ideal

Im applying to Pitt as a neuroscience major. I want to know which campus is the best and most prestigious as well. Additionally, I want to know which dorms on that campus are the best. I would also like to know if Pitt would let me stay in a dorm this summer as I visit the college because other colleges offered it because I live about 6 and a half hours away in driving time. Can someone or some ppl please answer my questions????

If you want to study neuroscience I would highly recommend applying to the main campus which is in Pittsburgh(technically Oakland). The main campus is the most prestigious and highly ranked for your specific major. I am also unsure if all of the other campuses have housing. As far as staying in the dorm when you visit you would need to email Pitt specifically about that. When I went to accepted students day last year my family drove up the night before and it was about a 7 hour drive for us and we stayed in a hotel near the campus. I suggest you email or call them but I am sure they will probably charge you for the night unless you are staying with a friend that is up there for the summer.

Thanks for your reply. I also wanted to know if I would need any subject tests to get accepted in the first place. I really don’t feel like taking them so are good grades, decent sats, a lot of community service, and great extra curriculars enough?? what were your credentials to pitt?

What are you stats currently? I guess you are a rising senior. You no not need to take any sat 2 subject tests for Pitt just the SAT or ACT.

Pitt’s main campus in Pittsburgh is the only one with a neuroscience major.

The regional campuses all have housing, but they are non-starters if neuroscience is your intent.
