I put up a similar post the other day but I just want to get more opinions.
It comes down to these two for me. I've been admitted to UBC Arts and Western Arts (although their modular degree program would make it easy for me to switch to Social Sciences or do a Double major) and I would just like some opinions about both schools. Both seem to have prestige in Canada and at the moment I intend to work there for a while after graduating however UBC is clearly better known abroad. UBC seems to do better in the rankings but I keep hearing that it is rather overwhelming for undergraduates. Also I'm having trouble deciding whether the cost of tuition and living in Vancouver is worth it since London is near Toronto and other major cities so I could always pursue internships and the like there. UBC is already about $5000 more in tuition and, according to my friends there, I can estimate about $700 a month on shared accommodation. Western has also offered me housing surprisingly. It was definitely more of a push getting into UBC so I'm afraid I'll regret it if I don't attend.
