<p>Well, lets assume the state university is in the top tier of US research institutions.</p>

<p>So if an international comes to the US in a top tier research state university, does he have a better chance to get a job in US than an international who studied in NUS (for getting a job in US)?</p>

<p>I think if the state school is University of Michigan, UC Berkeley, UCLA, or University of Virginia you will have a much better chance of getting a job in the US over NUS.</p>
