Which college grads are heavily targeted by consultancy firms?

Except for the Ivy League, which other colleges are targeted by consultancy firms like McKinsey? Also which Ivy League schools do they target the most?

From what I know, all the usual suspects are targeted pretty heavily (the 8 ivies, Stanford, Duke, Chicago, NU, and consultants certainly seek out grads of places like MIT - so roughly the top 15 or so in US News). The little ivies receive lots of attention too.

After that, I’m assuming there’s a bit of a drop-off, but places like McKinsey may still target some of the reputable undergrad business schools (Ross, etc). Also, strong schools such as ND and Rice probably get some attention too. Generally, I’d assume the strongest schools (in terms of reputation and culture, so a place like Princeton, for example) receive the most wooing from the big consultancy firms.

here’s a clue…the Bain recruiting website:
[Join Bain & Company: Bain on your campus > Apply to Bain](Work with Us | Bain & Company)

One can search by college & see if there are college-specific recruiting programs & alums at Bain…you’ll have to go school-by-school, but I suspect a pattern will emerge. I checked out several…Williams, Claremont McKenna & Vanderbilt have Bain connections with school-specific recruiting programs, but Wesleyan & Occidental have “no specific recruiting process for your school.”

Mitchell Madison is scheduled Oct 14

[Wesleyan University: CRC](http://www.wesleyan.edu/crc/)

To add to what Cue7 wrote, some schools that might not immediately come to mind get recruited fairly well for nearby regional offices. Rice and UT (Houston) and Emory and Georgia Tech (Atlanta)

Outside of the ivies, you should expect the likes of Stanford, Berkeley, MIT.

As for recruiting, it really depends on the firm. A place like Archstone only recruits at: Northwestern, Miami, Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan, Columbia, NYU, Berkeley and Stanford.
A place like McKinsey recruits at probably the top 50 schools, from Amherst down to Yale. [Home | US Schools | US Schools Recruitment](http://www.mckinsey.com/careers/us_schools/home.aspx)
