Which college/major to apply to?

Hello all, I am interested in applying to Northeastern (early action!) but I am in a pickle. I am interested in studying Biomedical Physics and/or Chemical Engineering there, but I don't know which specific major to apply to. Does anybody know if it is even possible to double major these two? And also, if I was accepted would I be able to talk to an advisor about a possible schedule?

I am mostly interested in Biomedical Engineering, but I feel like the minor offered at Northeastern doesn't really fit my needs. Would a major in ChemE and minor in BME allow me to work in the BME field? Can anyone offer information on the BME minor?

Thanks in advance!

I would check if what you are suggesting (chemE + BME minor) is even possible. Engineering has very strict course requirements, so unless you come in with a fair amount of relevant credit, you might not have space in your schedule to do this.

As for working in the field, what exactly do you have in mind? I think it depends on what in particular you want to do in the field. I have also heard that the prospects for jobs in biomedical engineering are not great for an undergraduate degree. (This is anecdotal and secondhand, so you’ll probably want to look for some actual data on that.)
