Which College should I apply to as an international needs an aid ?

<p>Hello College Confidential Team and members ,, </p>

<p>A little about me at first :-
I'm from Egypt , I have always wanted to study physics and still , But In my country physics is very poor and I hope to go somewhere better where I can do my researches and experiments .. however , I like theoretical physics more . </p>

<p>The Trouble :-
1- I can't pay for a college in USA ,, I will need some kind of Aid .
2- I haven't taken TOEFL yet , so I'll have to prepare for SAT and TOEFL in a very short time .
3- The grades in my country are not international .. not listed in any college requirements .. it's a special high school system in all of Egypt .</p>

<p>The advantage :-
1- I think I'm very Good at Maths and Physics ..
According to my grades marks , my teachers though and my solving to the SAT Practice test in Mathematics ..
2- and I have a very strong passion to do what I want to do and to study Physics .. </p>

<p>My questions :-
Is there some colleges require TOEFL instead of SAT beside SAT II Subjects ?
My only problem here is SAT vocabularies , I will have less than 2 moths preparing and I'll start with TOEFL . </p>

<p>Whether Yes or No ,, </p>

<p>Could you please suggest me some colleges " where I can study physics " that offers scholarships or financial aid based on SAT marks , abilities and student passion , such things? "
Well , for anyone Need-based is always the best choice but I would also like to know the other choices or chances .. </p>

<p>Also ,, having High school system like that one in my country I don't think I'll have certified marks to submit to these colleges , I don't even know about the transcript profile from my high school ,, I don't think we have such things in Egypt .. </p>

<p>The students in the international forum have started a list of colleges that give aid to internationals. There are only 6 colleges that are need blind and meet full need. The rest are need aware and may or may not meet full need, likely not. </p>

<p>You will have to cross check that list for excellent phyiscs programs. Expect your searching to take a lot of time.</p>

<p>There’s an excellent Physics program at Lawrence, WI, and they do have financial aid for international students, although I don’t know whether they cover full need. (Email them with your interests, credentials, and questions).</p>
