Hi. I'm a high school senior and I'm trying to decide what colleges I want to apply to. I want to take the pre-med track and eventually apply to a med school. If you could objectively comment on the rigor or how well each/any of these schools prepares you for med school. And if you could speak to the med school acceptance rate from each school that would be great! The list of schools is:
Loyola Universtity - Chicago
PLNU
Seattle Pacific
Cal Poly
U of San Francisco
Loyola Marymount
U of Washington
UC Davis
UC Santa Barbara
USC
George Washington U
Northeastern U
Boston University

Any of those would be great. We suggest instead of us going to each website and looking up med school acceptance rates, that you do it. Try to get a feel what they mean…is that all students who enterted as pre-med? All the ones who got an endorsement by the health committee? All who applied?

Are you a Calif resident? USC is really really good. UCSB is good in physics and math…don’t know a lot on how they would prepare you for med though (ex: classes etc…) <<Same with CalPoly. I think the top two for me on this list would be GWU and USC. (if you scored a 34 on ACT or around 2200 on SAT, try looking into GWU’S ba/md program. Guaranteed admission to med school.)

UCSD is also a great school - one of the best BS/MD joint programs in the U.S.
