Hey.
I am currently enrolled in a CC in California, and i like to keep my options open by applying to colleges out of state.
My intended major is Math/Economics and not just Plain Econ.
My estimated GPA after my Winter session should be around 3.85. As i plan to retake a class in a winter session as i fared pretty badly in it Fall. am also an an honors student.
I work 30+ hours if that is necessary.
Although its kinda late to apply, i spose. but are there a few decent colleges on par with UCLA where i am likely to get transferred to?

My friend just transferred in to UCLA as an econ major he had all straight A's and 2 B's but a high position at his financing workplace. Unlike you, he was not an honors student. Another girl was not an honors student and she had a 3.3 GPA. I heard her essay was written very well, but that was all. She also made it to UCLA....It's weird, I know..Anyways, if your GPA doesn't compete, start working on the ECs and essays!

The sounds like a good GPA. How about some standardized test scores and ECs? Make sure you mention your work hours on any application as well. If you have good test scores I don't see why you couldn't go to UCLA.

what year are you? what are your hs stats?

Look at all the UC schools. Don't they have special relationships with many of the cc's?
