Hi. My S would like to take calculus during the Winter session/term and transfer it to U of Delaware. Does anyone of know any universities that offer the course for the 2015 session?

It is really a bad idea to take a course like Calculus in the 4 weeks winter session. Calculus is some thing that you need time to absorb and will be used in many STEM classes, it is a basic tool.

BYU’s Independent Study Calc 1 course may be worth considering. I agree with artloversplus. Calculus is a very difficult thing to master in a month, and should he need to take further math or physics courses, the lack of a strong intro calc background would likely prove problematic.

Thank you artloversplus and whenhen. My DS is a biology major. He has been told by most uppper class students at UDel not to take calculus there as it will kill his gpa. A friend is taking Calc during the Winter session at Pace in downtown Manhattan. I was just trying to find an alternative to Pace. Also thought it would be easier to take Calc before he has to attemep biology II and Chem II at the same time.
