So I have 760 in writing (which is the 99th percentile) but only 620 in Critical Reading (Somewhere around the 80th percentile). I know lots of colleges look at your CR score more than the Writing, but I would like to know if there are some colleges which look at your writing score (i.e. put more emphasis on it during the application process) Anyone know such colleges?

you can retake your SAT…

Just from studying, I brought my W up from a 620 to an 800, and my CR up from 590 to 760. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about what college likes what section.

Almost all colleges now look at your writing score as much as they look at math and CR scores. It would be harder to find a college that doesn’t put as much emphasis on writing as they do for math and CR than to find a college that looks at all three scores evenly.

You could look at this website,
<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board;

Search a college where it says to do so, then when that college’s page opens, hit “applying” on the left then scroll down and hit “SAT and ACT Scores”, and it will show you the average Math CR and writing scores for the college.
