which colleges should i choose??

Okay so I’m entirely aware that is still summer but I don’t know what it is but I have extreme paranoia about anything to do with college. I’m mostly just afraid of being rejected honestly.
I want to go to a good school but I also don’t want to apply to a college I obviously have no hope with. I don’t think any Ivy league schools are in my future, but maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
I’m a rising junior so I don’t have al the test scores but I have been taking an SAT course and am scheduled to take the ACT and PSAT in the fall. And SAT in the spring (new format).
So far I have taken the SAT II US history test- 750 (AP exam- 4) SAT II german with listening- 710
I go to a competitive public school which often sends many students to Ivy and other top schools each year.

my ECs:
-I have been volunteering at a biology research lab at a hospital for the last two summers and once a week during the year ( this year I’m going to be competing in the intel ISEF science fair)
-i volunteer at my old middle school 4 hours a week (all years so far)
-i volunteer at a special needs horse back riding foundation about 2 hours week (last summer and sophomore year)
-I’m a member of my schools french club and community service club (sophomore year and this year)

  • i am a part of an out of school competitive equestrian team and have won regional awards throughout high school
  • i participate actively in a charity my friend started that focuses on helping children in need (sophomore year)
with all my combined community serve i have about 400 hours so far

my unweighted GPA is 3.9 and freshmen year i took all honors courses, sophomore i took all honors and ap us history, this year I’m taking all honors, ap bio and ap phycology/neuro

Start by having the talk with your parents about how much they can afford? Once you have a number, then you can start looking at schools where your stats would get you good financial or merit aid if needed. I would start with your in-state universities and work on 1 or 2 safety schools and then start building your list from there.
