Which colleges should I consider?

I just need some help thinking of some colleges where I could get into. I want to go into Medicine and major in Biology for my undergrad. My gpa is about a 4.45 out of 5 and I got a 2150 on my SATI (1360 m/cr), and 680 on the biology SATII. I want to try and get a 1400 for m/cr. Where can I apply on the east coast with a good shot at getting in? I live in Maryland so UMD college Park is first choice. thanks for the help

Retake the SATII in Bio. There are many schools great for premed on the East Coast, if you provide some other facts such as school size, if you want a school with good sports program (watch or play), atmosphere, etc, you can get better help on here.

If you would consider LACs there are schools where I think you could get merit.

Ursinus and Allegheny in PA.

If you want to go further south, Rhodes in TN is excellent.

I want a big school, but not like ohio state big. It has to have like an actual campus, definitely not an urban setting.

Maybe Tufts…?

^It would be a stretch for the OP. Definitely a high reach. Sorry I can’t offer any other schools, I’m not too familiar with the East coast.

Holy Cross(don’t have to be religious) and Tufts. HC has good combination of academics and social life/school spirit.

I don’t think Tufts would be a high reach. GPA and SAT are both good, I know people with lower stats that got into Tufts.

^Okay, I’ll admit that “high reach” is probably a bit exaggerated, but it’s certainly a reach. The mid-50% SAT score for the class of 2015 was 1390-1530 (M/CR), which puts the OP in the bottom 25%. Furthermore, on a 4.0 scale, that GPA is only a 3.56, which is not that competitive, especially at Tufts. If honors/AP classes weren’t present in the OP’s past and current curriculum, it’d be very difficult to get by with that GPA.

I didn’t know Tufts took the score out of 1600. Your comment makes more sense now :)
