Hi everyone,
I am currently a sophomore in high school and in the next year I’m hopefully going to start touring colleges. I have a 3.976 UW and a 4.52 W. I got a 35 on the ACT, and I hold numerous club positions. Essentially, I hope to be a competitive applicant for the elite colleges. I’m starting to form a college list and I was wondering which colleges I should look into? I am an Asian male, and I would like to be a pre-med biology/classics(latin & greek) major. My state schools are out of the question because they do not have classics departments. As for location, the furthest south I’m going to go would be Missouri (lmao Missouri compromise line), with California being an exception, though I would like to be relatively near a city. Class selection is of high importance to me, so I really would not like to be in insanely huge universities. Finances are somewhat of an issue since I have two siblings who will also go to college after me, so I will only consider colleges that give good need-based aid (bye NYU hahaha). Lastly, I will not go to a lower-ranked school because of merit aid. After hearing my dad’s stories about our local state school, I am totally turned off lol. Aside from the elite schools, where else should I look?
