Which ED: Cornell or NYU Stern?

I'm torn between which college to apply ED to: Cornell Hotel School or NYU Stern --which school do I have a better chance of getting accepted into??

Work:

what are my chances for each school ED, and which one should I choose??
btw, is my SAT score higher than my ACT score? thanks!

I don't think anyone can tell you which school to apply ED to. It's really up to which school you'd most want to attend if you got in. Both schools are really different in terms of location, academics, etc. I'd visit both campuses to see which one you like more, if you haven't already.

You'd probably automatically be in at NYU, I don't know about Stern though because it's a lot more competitive. When looking at your app, I don't see anything that really sets you apart. Everything is really good, but for Cornell and Stern is just about average. So, for this reason, I'd say they're both reaches.

And yes, your SAT score is slightly higher than your ACT.

Hmm I don't mean to put you down or anything but I would say that Cornell is your "reach" school because lack of EC's, and also a lower SAT. I would prefer that you do ED to Cornell. As for NYU I would say that is a Match/Reach for you. So go ED with Cornell. Also agree with sak09, personally I am a NYU type of guy. Cornell also has the toughest workload of all of the ivies........

depends.....
hotel school is alot different from NYU stern
it is alot more real estate and hotel management orientated than nyu stern's traditional business education

if you want to do finance, go to stern
also i dont know why you are applying to the hotel school, cornell's business program is the AEM(applied economics and management) at the agricultural school

for nyu, you need a few more SAT 2s

keep in mind AEM is a state program, so new yorkers have an advantage

so if i were you and didnt care about money, i would apply to stern

advice boast up your critical reading score and take at least one more SAT 2

Thanks for all of the replies!

I'm actually taking a hotel college course in Cornell right now - actually, I've wanted to go to the Hotel School since forever, but lately I've also been interested in Stern.

I was just wondering if I actually have a chance at Stern if I apply ED. I feel like I'm a good candidate for Hotel School since I'll have so much work experience in the hospitality industry. What do you guys think?

your stats are good but keep in mind Stern median sAT is a 1440

they are entirely different schools
it is not really about what school you can get in but rather your career choice

i think you would have a better chance and fit at cornell's hotel school
