ssresm

haha y not?

sorry, too lazy for that :P

Sure, I will post essays after I recieve my acceptance letter.

Anybody pick the “invention” prompt for andover?

Exeter:
favorite song
challenging moment

Exeter: topic you’re passionate about, and topic of your choice
l’ville: person who influenced you
choate: couldn’t choose topics

i used the same essay for all three schools, bwoo ha haaaa!

haha sooo evil ssrs

For Exeter, last year I did favorite word (“xenotransplantation”) and the freebie category (I wrote something about running.)

I would have done favorite word this year, but my favorite word didn’t really change. I did challenging moment (something about tics and running) and topic about which I am passionate.

kli: i did, but now i wish id done the $1000 one
i did the same ones schoolgirls!!
i really only wrote like 3 esays cuz i used them like 3 time each
Hotchkiss i did the text message one

my favorite word last year was capriccioso. this year’s is defenestration, but i didn’t choose that topic

musisat: did you apply last year as well?

“Ask yourself a question and answer it while revealing something interesting about you.”

Being my indecisive self, I. Was. Horrified.

tuesdays, defenestration’s my favorite word too!! :D

I did favorite song and favorite word… feels like a simpleton

My favorite word is patina - not because it’s exceptionally cool or anything, but because it’s a good reminder that there’s a story behind every imperfection, and that’s what makes our world so interesting and beautiful.

My favorite song WAS “Anything But Fine” by ZOX when I wrote my essay, but now that I’ve thought about it some more, I think it’s sort of pathetic (it’s a long, long story). But I provided good justification for it in my essay, so I think I’ll do fine.

EDIT: I just looked up defenestration, and have every intention to start incorporating it into my everyday vocabulary. XDDD

For Exeter, I did the challenging moment and the freebie category.

Yup, I applied last year too. Some people suggested that I recycle essays, but my essays last year weren’t that great anyway.

Defenestration means to throw someone out a window. I just learned that the other day in latin. In latin, fenestra means window.

Exeter - Favorite Song (On a Day Like Today by Keane!) & Free-write
Andover - Describe something you thought you once knew but now are not so sure about
aaaand the Choate & Deerfield required ones.

i did the “moment you were challenged” for exeter/any topic, used that for loomis too, Deerfield’s only choice, and creative “Out of the fire into the frying pan” for hotchkiss. I thought that was my best one.
