I’ve read that each of the 8 freshman dorms is affiliated with a specific social house and that the affiliation survives the students all four years regardless of where they subsequently live. Is this true?
If so, which house is affiliated with which dorm? It doesn’t list any affiliations on the Bowdoin website.

When I posted the original question that same page didn’t have the 2016-17 list. I thought it was interesting they were now breaking up the assignments by dorm floor. I wonder when that started? As of a few years ago it definitely was like your memory of whole dorms/houses.
