Which is best?

Which of these three is best in
A) ACADEMICS
B) COLLEGE LIFE
C) AFTER GRADUATION SALARY

Emory

University of Virginia

Vanderbilt

I don't know anything about those schools, but c) relies pretty heavily on your major and grades.

UVA

(ten characters)

Isn't this a bit general and subjective?

You should say a little bit about yourself.

Do you prefer urban/rural settings?
(Vandy/Emory will be more urban; UVA more rural)
Do you drink? Do you want a large party scene?
(UVA/Vandy have larger party scenes - better looking students)
Are you looking for a large school or a mid-sized school?
(UVA is the largest; Emory/Vandy are midsized)
Are you liberal or moderate/conservative?
(Emory is liberal; UVA are moderate/conservative)
Do you want a school with school spirit?
(Vandy/UVA have D-1 sports; Emory is D-III)

woah college2332, lets not make the OPs question actually answerable.
I'd go with UVA for all, yeah!

Pardon my ignorance Danish Boy, but--- What is an OP??

I was wondering that for a while too, but I think it's "original poster".

Although all three of them are good, I would say that Vanderbilt is best concidering all three aspects

primo77, why is it that you think vanderbilt is the best, I'd like to know your reasons.

btw: 1. is the one that calls my attention the most

Academically the best is probably Emory, but that really is debatable. All three schools are roughly equally academically. It would be different if you were choosing between Duke, Emory, and Illinois or something where there is a clear-cut difference in the three academically. Really any schools ranked 15-30 don't have a huge difference, or if they do it is arguable and depends on department/preferences.

College life encompasses several factors. All schools are in the South. UVA and Vanderbilt would probably give you the most traditional college experience. Emory and Vanderbilt are near big cities, UVA is in a quintessential college town (Charlottesville). Frats are going to be big at UVA and Vanderbilt, but you also have ACC and SEC athletics, while at Emory that won't be present, it is probably safe to say Vandy and UVA students have more school spirit due to this.

If you factor in cost, and you are a VA resident, this shouldn't even be a question--GO TO UVA! Regardless though I still think UVA is the best choice. Someone else said it was big, true but not that big. It has like 13,000 students while Vandy and Emory have about 6-7,000. 13,000 isn't huge--30,000 or 40,000 is huge.
