<p>for english lit and lang, it’s extremely helpful to have feedback from your teacher. that’s how i got a five on lang this year.
for history (i took us) i’m sure self studying is just fine. my teacher wasn’t too great, i didn’t study my brains out, but i still got a 4.</p>

<p>I personally believe that taking an actual course is better than self-study because teacher becomes a good source of motivation.</p>

<p>I’d take the course. I actually believe that AP lang is a test you can self study for. much of it is very familiar (crit reading, essays) with excep of rhetorical analysis.</p>
