Which is harder: getting accepted into a top undergrad school or a top grad school?

Regardless of where your schooling was before?

While it really depends on your field and what type of grad program you are going into, I'd say that on average getting into a top grad program is harder. In extreme cases at the grad level, hundreds of students apply for 2 or 3 spots.

top grad school, especially in a competitive field like law or medical school.

the acceptance rates are lower, and the people who are applying in general are a better group of students.
