Yes, my friend. Don’t worry so much about reputation, as long as your prospective schools meet a minimum threshold. The two schools you mention meet that threshold. I live in Colorado, and can tell you that DU is on an impressive upswing, and their hospitality program has always been well-regarded. Beautiful campus, as well, and a nice city to spend your college years. Good regional reputation, perhaps not a national reputation. Same can probably said about College of Charleston. But don’t listen too much to other people or worry about what “sounds more impressive.” Everyone you will talk to will have their own biases, and own limitations of knowledge and experience. Look at the data, get a feel for the campuses, trust your instinct.

+++++ :D

Fifteenthed - make your decision based on you, not on “prestige”. Most people don’t know what college I went to and vice versa - I’ve got a good job and smart coworkers and it really isn’t important.

Both are pretty nice schools with really nice campuses in each of their own areas, although they are a bit different.

I got accepted to DU, didn’t look into CoC (personal preference, I like my school with a hockey presence). Not sure if I’ll be attending DU, but I really do like everything about the school, from the good vibe Denver city, to the campus, and even the people are really nice :)

Don’t worry about what other people’s impressions would be. Go to the school where you can picture yourself. Go to the school where you will be the happiest.

You can quit the advice giving. OP has his/her self-esteem restored after being accepted to George Washington and has committed to attending.
