I was wondering what you guys think the best joint med. program is? HPME, PLME, Rice/Baylor, Washington, Case-Western, etc. Base your answer on difficulty, length, prestige, cost, and stuff like that.

Difficulty? Is an easier time better or a hard time better? If you want easy, I would vote for the PSU/Jeff program

Length? Do you want a longer program or a shorter one? If you want short, I would vote for PSU/Jeff

Prestige? HPME

Cost? Depends on your instate eligibility

As such, I think there are too many variables to determine what is the best one. Different people will want different things (and have different instate eligibilities). Overall, I would say HPME, PLME, and PSU/Jeff are the top 3 IMO.

my pick is washington but you have to get a 36 MCAT i think... thats ridiculous... tha med skool is 2nd in the country tho

honestly... i dont think there is such a thing as best... because ppl want and look for different things... like length, prestige, location and cost... and everyone values each of these things differently... it depends on what is important to the indivdual

if i had my pick though, of attending any program [wat a dream].. i would attend psu/jeff because of location/prestige... btw i live in philly..

washington's program is also very prestigious and is much more rigorous than that of hpme's

but they don't offer the guarantee to high schoolers (I believe you have to apply as a freshman in Wash U)

What's PLME?

plme = brown's 8 year ba/md program

For value, the combined quality of undergrad and medical schools, and unlimited opportunities of the largest medical complex in the world: Rice/Baylor.

Value is arguable. I know some people who can receive 7 years of education from Rutgers and then UMDNJ for $80,000. Arguably, that is of much greater value.
