<p>It’s difficult to point to one that is the most “accurate.” Different people will weigh factors differently so in theory everybody has their own rankings.</p>

<p>Techie, unless I’m mistaken, NRC only ranks grad schools. Most posts here are about undergrad education.</p>
<p>Who’s Who in America which measures the political, cultural, business, academic and professional leadership of the country. The Schools that produce the Governors, Senators, Presidents, Ambassadors, Cabinet Secretaries, Fortune 500 CEOS, Pulitizer winners, Academy award winners, notable ahtletes (Olympians and Major Leaguers) and major University Presidents are probably the finest in the country.</p>
<p>Yes, NRC (National Research Council) ranks only graduate programs. But I think the undergraduate programs (if offered) are similarly ranked, as they are administered by the same departments staffed by the same faculty. Granted, academic quality is only one aspect of undergraduate education, but it is the most important one for most serious students.</p>
