Sorry, here's another one of these threads :P

I plan on being an English major, and I'd love to focus on British literature. If Scottish Gaelic, Welsh, or Old English were offered at the college I am most likely going to, I would totally take those, but unfortunately there aren't any classes for them. I can currently write and read minimal Scots. Here are my options:

Arabic
Chinese
French
German
Greek (Classical)
Greek (Modern) - I am currently in Ancient Greek I at my high school
Hebrew
Hindi-Urdu
Italian
Japanese - I love Japanese culture
Korean - I also love Korean culture, I am currently trying to learn the basics
Latin - I took 4 years in middle and high school; I wasn't a huge fan...
Persian
Portuguese
Russian - Love Russian lit
Spanish
Turkish

I am torn between learning a dead language and learning one I can actually still use and speak. If anyone has some insight about which of these they like the best, or which would suit an English major best, I would love to hear about it :)

Thank you very much!
