Which Life Science to Choose?

Hello everybody,

I’m trying to choose a major at McGill between Physiology, Anatomy & Cell Biology, Biochemistry and Immunology. I would like to do Medicine but I am aware that to so I should aim for a GPA 3.8 or above. I initially chose Physiology however, I’ve been reading that it is really difficult and near to impossible to achieve such a high GPA in that course. Therefore, I am wondering which major between those would give me the best chances to get a high GPA so I can get into medical school. I am a hard worker so it’s not that I want an easy way, I just want to be realistic and be able to get a very high GPA so hopefully I can get into medical school!

Almost all of McGill’s Life Science programs are extremely challenging. There’s not much difference in the level of difficulty of the majors that you have listed and getting a 3.8 in any of them will require considerable effort.

I would suggest going for the major you feel most enthusiastic about rather than trying to make a subjective judgement about which one would be easier.
