Which looks better for college admission: State AP Scholar or National AP Scholar?

State AP Scholar.

National AP Scholar is simply an award for taking a lot of AP exams. Colleges probably don’t care if you’ve taken 7 vs 8 AP’s (the latter receiving the “national AP scholar designation”) since the scores alone speak for themselves (rather than the recognition).

On the other hand, state AP scholars usually have upwards of 15 AP exams, and nearly enough AP credits to enter as a senior when they attend college.
