Hey, guys,
I'm considering applying for MFE (master of financial engineering) after college.I'm planning to take Financial Math&Econ&CS minor, or CS-lsa major&Financial Math.Which one is better prepared for being a quant? I know quant job requires extensive programming skills. Can it be satisfied with only a minor, or much more coursework?

Econ won’t do you much good. The Financial Math and CS majors are perfect. You will be well prepared for financial engineering after completing them. Most FE programs don’t require too much CS, but if you’re going to be a quant, you’re going to need to learn a lot of programming anyway. Might as well get a jump start in college, particularly to see if you can handle it. Good luck.
