Hi,
So I’m currently a junior and I really like Math, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Chem and Bio the most). I really wanted to do Biomedical engineering but I’ve heard that its a jack of all trades but master of none. I want to do Chemical Engineering with Biotechnology but now i’m worried that i wont have flexibility. If i do chem engineering with biotechnology, does that mean i can only pursue jobs that require biotech or can i still go into the tradition chem engineering jobs like petroleum and pharmaceuticals?
With a Chemical Engineering degree you will get all the basics that permit you to move into any field that a CHEME is qualified for. A BS degree is never highly specialized.
so even if I do it with focus on biotech I can still go for the normal jobs with out bio tech as well right?
Absolutely
