Which Major is Better for Sales?

I know that ideally marketing is the best major for sales, however, my school’s business program requires a lot of math courses which I’m trying to avoid. My plan is to go into the technological sales/marketing field. So instead of marketing, I’m debating majoring in psychology and minoring in computer and information science. My other option is a Communications major (specializing in New Media and Communications Technology). The only concern I have about communications is that I’m not a very strong writer, however, I would be willing to work at becoming a better writer.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope I can get some more insight!

It doesn’t really matter. Either psychology or communications would be a good major for sales. I’d just pick whichever appeals to you more.

If you’re not a strong writer you need to work on becoming a stronger writer, since a lot of sales is not just conducted in person but via written communication (emails, memos, reports, documentation…). But psychology will offer you that as well.
