Which major should I pursue?

Hello guys. I really want to know what major should I pick. At my university, after you are accepted, you will be first placed at the faculty that you apply for (you can’t transfer from a faculty to another after that) and then you will choose one of the available majors at only that faculty at the second year. I applied for the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at my university, and I will declare my major in June.

I enjoy the first year a lot. The subjects are so captivating. My faculty offers five majors (the others are Telecommunication Eng, Information System, and Electrical Power), but let’s talk only about two majors that I am interested in: Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. I enjoy playing with LEGO Mindstorms and making Arduino projects. Fundamental of Electric Circuits is also one of my favorite subject and I am even one of my teacher’s favorite students. I do great at Physics, and I absolutely love Calculus!

Currently, I think that I want to try Electrical Engineering. However, I just wonder if I can do a lot of things that I have not ever practiced, e.g. soldering, disassembling things. Some guys who will pursue Electrical Engineering seem like they have experience of knowing this motor, port, cable, etc. while I am here without any experience at all. Will my unawareness make myself not suitable?

On the other side, I am also good at computer programming. I have experience of making simple games, making certain online games to be played offline etc. There was this Android game assignment and my game was dubbed as the best. However, choosing this major means that I will not continue learning Calculus, Physics, etc. that I want to learn further. Also, I know that I did very great on the Intro to Programming course (got 98 out of 100, even 80 will still earn an A), but the lesson was not challenging (perhaps because it’s still basics?).

If you ask me, I’m basically just a hard-working and creative student, and I think I will do well on either major. But I just want to know which one is the better for my potential (you can’t do a double major here).

Which one do you thing will be more suitable for me? I would love to know.
