Hello!

I'm currently a student at Florida State, and have the intention of attending law school once I graduate. I'm trying to figure out what major I should do, and I'm kind of stuck. I've been studying Japanese for about 2.5 years, and I'd like to incorporate that somehow into my degree. I'd also like to also do something in business.

My original plan was to do a double major in International Business and Japanese Language/Culture. After looking over the course requirements however, I'm realizing that it's going to take a bit longer than expected to go about it that way.

I noticed that FSU offers a degree in Japanese with business concentration. I am planning on studying abroad for 1 year (next year) in Japan, and I would be able to graduate in 2.5 years if I decided on that major (I could also do a minor if so inclined).

Would I be at a disadvantage if I did the combined degree vs. completing both degrees separately? I currently have a 3.75 GPA, and am predicting between 165-168 LSAT. I'm not sure how law schools will view the degree, since I think most people consider foreign language degrees BS degrees (no offense :P).

Schools I'm interested in include: USC, UNC:CH, FSU

Thanks a bunch!

Here is the info sheet for the Japanese/Business combined degree:
